Zoe

The Tip Toe movement is partly about my pursuit of positive change and happiness. Recently- I made a step towards positive change- not so much of a "tip toe" type of movement- I bought a dog- ha
Meet Zoe- the Weimaraner

She is almost three months and already 15lbs with more than 2 inch paws. Zoe may be big, but she is still a clumsy pup who loves her momma.

If anyone knows my family dog, Sadie, they would know she wasn't trained very well. It's not like she is a bad dog, but she definitely doesn't listen to commands. Zoe is going to be different. Nick has been helping me train her. She is (slowly, but surely) learning her name, how to fetch, and to go to the bathroom outside (yay!).

She is a wonderful addition to my life. I promise- you can't wait to meet her.

More to come on Zoe.

State Street and Sunflowers

This week my dad took vacation time from work simply because he HAD to. When I say he had to- i mean it- as in he really had no plans except to go to the movies, see his children, and hang out with my mom when he could so he didn't lose those vacation hours. He spent Wednesday with my brother. They went hiking in Northridge, which I apparently need to partake in one day- the workout is said to be awesome. That evening he drove up to see me and we walked over to the Irish Pub for a few drinks and to catch up. Thursday morning we woke up, had breakfast at Eggs and Things, then drove to State Street in Santa Barbara to spend the day window shopping and enjoying the good weather. And boy was it good weather. I love State Street. Although I've only been there a few times, it has never failed to entertain me and make me smile. The people watching alone will make your day. If its not the people watching you care about, well the plethora of diverse food and shops will amaze you each time. We had a smoothie from a very healthy 'bowl' place- I bought a great present from a local arts place- My dad tried out a big wheeled bicycle- We met my friend Alex for coffee at French Press- We ate salad and drank wine at Palazzio- Then we finished the SB day off with a red velvet cupcake topped with chocolate covered cream cheese frosting.
This was a day to remember. I love my State and I love my Dad... and I love days off from work.
Appreciate the little things- like two days later finishing the newest Chelsea Handler book "Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me" and getting sunflowers from your boyfriend.
