The kind of people who quote cliches often say things like- It's the small things in life. Well in my current state of mind- this is the case. A green $2.34 to-go coffee mug purchased at Target is the first thing that made me smile today. Sad? I think not. If you are anything like me, you would understand my complete and utter excitement about getting to drink brewed Kona coffee (purchased in Simi Valley- unfortunately not Hawaii) out of a 75% off coffee mug that I found the other day at work.
Mind you before my current career, I was a broke college student that never had the patience to look in the clearance section of stores. Although that would've been the smart time to use clearanced merchandise to my advantage- I never took it. However, the time in my life that I have money and walk four miles a day seeing some 15 clearance areas on the job- I shop clearance AND I find amazing things like this green environmentally friendly coffee mug.
After going to the gym today, I still happened to be tired and my usual morning coffee seemed to be just like any other cup, until I remembered that I bought this mug and now... sitting here sipping from it I realize it wasn't only a great find and friend to my wallet- it also brings out my eyes.
Yes. This was a blog about a $2.34 mug that has made the start to my morning- glorious.
